NEXT CHESTER OPEN CHESS CONGRESS  27th and 28th. June 2009 at the CHESHIRE VIEW Christleton.

Sponsored by Cheshire & North Wales Chess Association

Organised by members of Caergwrle Chess Club, (President Keith Arkell GM).

Caergwrle Chess Club meets at the centuries old Derby Arms in the North Wales vilage of Caergwrle on Wednesday nights, arguably the only village in the UK with a thriving chess club

Congress Director : Neville Layhe

Secretary                : Richard Martin (Please send your entry forms and funds to Richard). (details to follow soon)

Marketing Director : David I Dickson

Jim McPhillips retired from his Secretarship this year but retains his position as an arbiter for the Congress. We would like to thank him for three years of painstaking work organising, doing the accounts and the data base and being the main source of contact for contestants' entry and payment details.

Richard takes over and has already made an impact with the automatic printing of wall charts and pairing cards taking the irk out of the work.

Our guarantors, Chessmaze International, guarantee the prize fund and will have a book and equipment stall for two days at the Cheshire View.
